Wedding Anniversary Observed Feb. 10 By Canadice Couple.

Mr. and Mrs. William H. Preston entertained a large company of friends and relatives at their home in Canadice Sunday afternoon and evening in observance of
their 50th wedding anniversary.

On - Feb. 6. 1907, William H. Preston, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. David N. Preston and Miss Spedee Mabel Becker, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marion J. Becker, all of Canadice, were married at the home of the pastor, the Rev. George W. Richmire of Hemlock. Brothers and sisters of the contracting parties attended, including Harrison and Dayton Becker, George Preston the Misses Leona. Esther and Lottie Preston, two of whom, Mrs. Esther Preston Becker and Harrison Becker, were present on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Preston spent their honeymoon with relatives in Syracuse.

They have always resided in Canadice, where they engaged in farming and have been deeply interested in affairs of the town and community.

Besides general farming Mr. Preston has been engaged in the breeding and exhibiting of purebred Rambouillet and Corriedale sheep. He has served as committeeman of the N. Y. S. Purebred Sheep Breeders project and is a director of the N. Y. S. Corriedale Association, which he has served as president. He has also been president and director of the Wool Producers Cooperative of New York. For some years Mr. Preston was also interested in purebred Holstein cattle, receiving many high production honors.

Mr. Preston is a Republican and has held the offices of town collector and councilman.

Mr. and Mrs. Preston are the parents of three children a son, Marion Preston of Honeoye; two daughters. Mrs. Barbara Outhouse of Cheshire and Mrs. Nina Johnson of Canadice, who arranged the celebration. There are also eight grandchildren; Patricia and Diane Preston; Laurel, Carol and Priscilla Outhouse; Gary, William and Valerie Johnson.

Many beautiful gifts were received. also a purse of money. A feature of the occasion was a gilded money tree. Congratulations and many wishes were extended for future years of good health and happiness to the honored couple.
