Son of Henry J and Margaret 'Brickle' Pringle. The family moved to the Chillicothe area in 1869. He worked for his father in the Stafford and Pringle Manufacturing making buggies and wagons. In 1922 he began a tire business until retirement in 1926.
On November 24, 1887 he married Delia Wilson. Their children were: Della, Paula W., Arthur E., and Lewis Frederick.
He served as Chillicothe Fire Chief for 34 years from 1892 to 1926.
He was a member of the Christian Church.
He was blessed with 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
