LONACONING - Eleanor May Morris, 90, of Jackson Street, Lonaconing, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007 at Moran Manor Health Care Center, Westernport.
Born Feb. 15, 1917 in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Chalmer and Ethel Livingston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Basil B. Morris, July 28, 1981; two sons, Harold and Joel; one great granddaughter, Danille; two sisters, Mary Miller and Dorothy Timney; and five brothers, William, Kenneth, Robert, Joseph, and Dale. She was the last of her immediate family.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lonaconing, the Morning Star Temple 1 Pythian Sisters of Lonaconing, Martha Washington Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 10 and the Georges Creek Adult Day Care. She was a seamstress and also volunteered at the Red Cross Well Baby Clinic in Lonaconing.
She is survived by two daughters, Gladys Llewellyn and husband Dr. Gerald, Delaware and Mary Lynn Crowe and husband Ron, Westernport; two sons, Robert Wayne Morris, California and Keith Morris and wife Joan, Frostburg; a daughter-in-law, Arlene Goodrum, Florida; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A. eichhorn-mckenziefh.com , Lonaconing, on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home, Lonaconing on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Andrew Droll officiating.
Interment will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Georges Creek Ambulance Service, P.O. Box 155, Lonaconing, MD 21539 or the Tri-Towns Ambulance Service, Westernport, MD 21562.
