EDITH HUDSON ADA - Memorial services for Mary Edith Hudson, 89, Ada, are 11 a.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Bobby Johns will officiate.
A reception will follow immediately following the service.

Mrs. Hudson died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born Feb.19, 1916, at Coalgate to Sam A. and Mary R. "Mae" Linton Azlian. She
came to Ada in 1922 from Coal County, attended school at Willard elementary school and graduated from Horace Mann High School. She received a Teaching Degree from East Central State Teacher's College in 1934.

She married Marion Hudson on Jan. 11, 1936, at Fort Smith, Ark. He died in 1991. Mrs. Hudson started teaching school in 1948 at Francis, later at Stonewall, Irving grade school, Ada Jr. High and retired from teaching from
the Byng School System in 1978.

She was a member of Central Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons, Barry Hudson and wife Laura, Edmond, and Mike Hudson, Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, Kent Hudson and wife Kendal,
Tulsa, Kirk Hudson and wife Kelly, Flint, Texas and Susan Nickish and husband Kirk, Milburn Beach, Fla.; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Vera Gale and Troy Pearce.

Honorary bearers will be Ken and Jan Hudson, Jerry Maloy and Marvin Stokes.

The family said those who wish may make donations to the charity of their choice in memory of Mrs. Hudson.
