MORRISTOWN – Garrett, Mrs. Mamie Rogers, age 99, great-granddaughter of the founder of Rogersville, died Saturday morning. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Amis & Mary Leftwich Rogers & was the oldest member of the First Presbyterian Church of Morristown.

Mrs. Garrett was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Garrett Sr., son Guy Garrett Jr. and daughter, Mary Brown Drinnon.

Survivors: son, Warren Garrett, Huntsville, Ala.; daughters, Mrs. Hart (Matilda) Sprinkle and Mrs. Russell (Phylis) Fisher, Morristown; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
Graveside service 2 p.m. Monday, Jarnagin Cemetery, Rev. R. Pitser M. Lyons and Woodward Finley officiating.

The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Sunday, STETZER FUNERAL HOME, Morristown.
