Mr Alton was born Sept iu. 1909 and
was the son of the late Charles and
Mary Alton
He wai a communicant of St
Joseph s Church and was a member ot
the Lord s Covenant Delight
Mr Alton was employed for many
years with the Department of Works.
Oswego He was later employed with
Alcan Corp
He was a democratic committeman
in the 7th Ward for many years. He was
a member of the Oswego Elk's Club
He is survived by his wife, Helen,
two daughters, Terry Gioia of Oswego
and Marilyn Hilhck of Oswego, four
sons, Robert Alton of Bridgeport, N Y .
William Alton of Oswego, Edward
Alton of Oswego and John Alton of
Phoenix. Ariz,; four sisters, Florence
Otis of Oswego. Carol Densens of
Parish, Alice McDermott of Oswego
and Agnes Garlock of Florida, one
brother. James Alton of Oswego; 19
grandchildren, and 12 greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday
at 8.30 a.m. from the Kozlowski
Funeral Home and at 9 a.m. from St.
Josephs Church.
Entombment will be in All Saints'
Mausoleum. St. Peter's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the
funeral home.
