Sudden Death of the Aged Wife of the Late Jacob D. Vanderheyden Recalls Early Trojan History- Had Resided in Brunswick

Mrs. Carolina T. Vanderheyden, a member of the old Vanderheyden family of this city, died suddenly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Helmus E. Link, 278 Fourth Avenue, Lansingburgh, a few minutes after she arose this morning. Mrs. Vanderheyden, who was in her ninety-first year, had been in feeble health. Dr. Flynn was called. Her maiden name was Caroline Tarbell, and she was born in Proctorville, Vt., in 1821. When seventeen years old she married Jacob D. Vanderheyden, moving to Brunswick, where she had resided until coming to live with her daughter In Lansingburgh in 1888. She was a member of Hedding Methodist Church. Her daughter, a grandson, Lewis C. Vanderheyden; a granddaughter, Mrs. George P. Wootton and three greatgrandchildren survive.
