Robert J. Williams Sr., of 223 E. Ross St., died Sunday at 12:28 p.m. at Duke Convalescent Residence following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Anna C. Barr Williams. The couple observed their 55th wedding anniversary on Sept. 1. A resident of Lancaster for the past 45 years, Williams was set up man at Kerr Glass Manufacturing Co. for 15 years until his retirement in July 1969. He attended St. Andrew's United Church of Christ. He was an avid sportsman. Born in Strasburg, he was a son of the late Richard J. and Mary Mitchell Williams. Surviving in addition to his wife are these children: Betty, wife of George H. Murr, Lancaster; Patricia, wife of I.B. Alexander, Rising Sun, Md.; Nancy, wife of Harold Laukhuff, Lancaster; Robert J. Williams Jr., Lancaster; H. Richard Williams, Neffsville; 22 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a brother, Lloyd Williams, Lancaster, and a sister, Jane, wife of John Boose, Christiana.
