Grief Drove Him To Suicide

Robert Adams, a cooper, from Lawrenceburg, committed suicide at Riverside yesterday. He buried his wife a few weeks ago, and several days later his father-in-law died in the Insane Asylum. Poverty compelled him to send his three homeless children to the Poor House, where they are now kept.

Despondency made his life a burden, and he jumped from a third-story window, fracturing his skull. He was at one time a leading ward politician at Lawrenceburg.
