Edith (Edie) Barr was born October 19, 1930 in Buck, Oklahoma to Nathaniel and Minnie Jessie (Chatman) Barr. Edie was raised by her Uncle Albert and Aunt Pansy (Chatman) Keith. Her parents, Uncle, Aunt, (2) brothers and (3) sisters preceded her in death. Edie went home to the Lord September 24, 2012. Edie worked for the Hospital, Naval Ammunition Base, O'Daniels, Hallman, Dr. Henry and Nancy McGowan. She is survived by her (4) Children: Larry Factory, Diane (Factory) Perry, Ricky Barr, and Anita Barr. (8) Siblings: Marie (Barr) Gregory, Maxine (Barr) Johnson, Raymond (Ross) Barr, Alice (Keith) Newman, Pearline (Keith) Rider, Herbert Keith, Sandra Keith and Francine (Keith) Liggins. (12) grandchildren: Dominick, Demetruis, Brandy, Dancia, Bria Factory, John Perry, Jr., Brandon Perry, Kendra Barr, Shanica Smith, Damon Barr, James Barr and Ebony Barr. (8) great-grandchildren: Chris'Tina , Veronica Factory, Mikhi, James Barr Jr., Makayzia Barr , Isaiah, Xavier and Kynlee Perry and host of family and friends. A good friend Nancy McGowan. The Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Ward Chapel A.M.E. Church, McAlester, Ok with Rev. Monica Bailey officiating. Cremation will follow. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Chaney Harkins Funeral Home, McAlester, OK.
