Dean E. Adkins age 56, of Knoxville, TN formally of Rush County, passed away Sept. 25th, at UT Medical Center In Knoxville.

Dean was born in Rushville, IN on Jan. 30, 1956, a son of the late Vernon T. & Ruth M (Wiedner) Adkins. He graduated from Rushville Consolidated High School, Class of 1975 and graduated from Johnson Bible College in 1995.

He worked in the Ministry much of his life. He was a member of the Gap Creek Christian Church in Knoxville, and a former member of the Arlington Christian Church. He had been activly employed many years as a supervisor in operational services for Johnson University.

Left to cherish his memory include a son Logen (Abby) Adkins of Brownsburg, IN; a daughter Britney (Steven) Jones of Lexington, KY; five grandchildren Luke, Levi, Alivia Adkins & Taylor & Tucker Jones. Also surviving are his brother Don Adkins of Shelby County, IN; Sisters Judy (Joe) Kuhn of Fountaintown, Janet (Bob) Weber of Knightstown, Pat (Tom) Reed & Pam (Jeff) Vogel of Rushville. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be 10AM Saturday Sept. 29th at Arlington Christian Church 2341N. - 700W. Arlington, IN 46104 with Brent James officiating.

Burial will immediatly follow at Arlington East Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 4-8 PM at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory
