Wallace was born in Wright, LA to the late Domonic Abshire and the late Azenie Bourque on December 6,1922. He served his country honorably in the Unites States Army. Following his military service, Wallace worked as a Painter and a Manager for the Florence Hunt Club beginning in 1968 until his retirement. He enjoyed going hunting and fishing. Wallace also enjoyed being around family and friends. Wallace is survived by his four son, Renford Dean Abshire and his wife Janice and Randall Dave Abshire of Abbeville; Gary Anthony Abshire and his wife Debra of Iowa, Wade Jude Abshire and his wife Melinda of Gueydan and his six grandchildren, Ryan Abshire, Jada Abshire, Cindy Abshire, Lauren Melancon, Laurie Breaux, Bailey Abshire and four great grandchildren; Spencer, Ashlyn, Katelin and Jessie.
Wallace was preceded in death by his parents, Domonic and Azenie Abshire; his beloved wife, Rachel Marie Abshire; and 13 brothers and sisters.
