Matt Fisher, 42 years old, of the town of Funkley, died yesterday at 6:30, of cancer. Mr. Fisher has been ill for a long time and his death was not unexpected. He is survived by his wife and a son and daughter. The body was brought to Bemidji this morning by Undertaker I. F. Murphy as the funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon from the Baptist church, Rev. C. W. Foley officiating. Interment will be made at Greenwood cemetery.
Mr. Fisher is well known in Bemidji and vicinity. He has made his home at Funkley since the town was begun, the town having been platted on his homestead. He had extensive real estate holdings near Funkley and was also engaged in the mercantile business.
