GALION INQUIRER (Galion, Crawford Co., OH): 21 April 1977

Shelby--Funeral services for Martha Kempf, 78, of 12 Grove Ave. will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Mrs. Kempf died Wednesday morning at her home following an extended illness. A sister, Mrs. Vincent (Amanda) Kempf survives in Galion.
Mrs. Kempf was a 55-year resident of Shelby and member of Most Pure Heart and Rosary Altar Society of the church.
She was born in Putnam County on April 12, 1899, the daughter of William and Agnes (Lemper) Berhoff.
Surviving besides the sister are her husband, George C. Kempf, two sons, Carl of Shelby and Edgar Kempf, Fairborn; three daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Jeanette) Seitz, Mrs. Vincent (Irma) Studer and Mrs. Charles (Beta) Phillips, all of Shelby, 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Also survivng are two sisters, Mrs. Adelia Kempf and Mrs. Agnes Fichter, both of Shelby.
Rosary services will be held at 8 p.m. Rev. John J. Ollivier will officiate at the funeral mass. Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery
