W. A. Steadman, 64, who was born and reared in Johnson County, died Friday in Los Angeles. He moved to Los Angeles about 15 years ago after he retired as a Santa Fe Railway employee. He is survived by his wife; his mother, Mrs. J. B. Steadman of Cleburne; seven brothers, E. J., Tom, Melvin and Chester Steadman of Cleburne, John Steadman of Hurst, Preston Steadman of Arkansas and David Steadman of California; five sisters, Mrs. Fannie Clack and Mrs. Lee Clanton of Fort Worth, Mrs. C. E. Payne of Snyder, Mrs. Minnie Stiles of Mineral Wells and Miss Bertha Steadman of California. Crosier-Pearson Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
