18 Apr 1945: Jacob T. [sic] Gerberich, 78, of 664 N. Railroad Street, Palmyra died Sunday morning at the Lebanon Sanatorium where he was admitted two weeks ago following a cerebral hemorrhage. Born in West Hanover Twp., Dauphin Co. the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gerber[ich] he lived in the Palmyra vicinity practically all of his life. In the earlier part of his life he was engaged as a farmer but in the later years he took up carpentry. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren. His wife Lydia, nee Laudermilch Gerberich proceeded him in death five years ago. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gurnie Zuver, Campbelltown, and Mrs. Hiram Gingrich, Lebanon Rt. 4; one brother John Gerberich, Palmyra; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Another daughter, Mrs. Harry E. Habacker, died two years ago. [Lebanon Daily News]
