Agatha "Aggie" Bearb Melancon
Rayne - Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. for Agatha "Aggie" Bearb Melancon, 86 who died Thursday, September 20, 2012 in Rayne Guest Home in Rayne, LA.
Interment will be in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery in Mire. Father Kendall Faulk will officiate the services.
She is survived by one sister and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Odell "Bleu" Melancon; her parents Edvalien "Joe" and Malazie Alleman Bearb; four sisters Edith Leger, Elise Smith, Eva Mae Lavergne and Melise Brasseaux; and one brother Advia Bearb.
She was born Friday, May 21, 1926, Daughter of the late Edvalien "Joe" Bearb and the late Melazie Alleman Bearb.
Mrs. Melancon retired from Mervin Kahn and worked at Worthmore's 5 10 25 Cent Store in Rayne. She was also a member of the St. Joseph Ladies Altar Society.
