Stella Odessa Roberson 83, of Lucedale, MS passed away September 20, 2012 in Mobile , AL. Mrs. Roberson was born on August 24, 1929 in Yazoo City, MS. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved the outdoors, working in her garden, walking, and raising worms. She enjoyed people and was a caretaker for the elderly for a number of years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Purvie Roberson, her two sons Jimmy Darrell and Kenneth Ray Roberson, and her parents, brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children Eddie Roberson of Lucedale, Linda (Lewis) Catrett of Hurley, Louis (Debbie) Roberson of Biloxi, and Sandra (Richard) Blades of Ocean Springs. She will also be missed by her brother and sister's Bill (Brenda) Toombs of Gretna, Eunice Toombs of Florida, Katie Ellington of Biloxi, Ellie Mae Toombs of Alabama, 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be Sunday September 23,2012 from 2:00 pm to 4:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa, MS, funeral service will begin at 4:00 pm from the funeral home chapel. Graveside service will be Monday September 24,2012 beginning at 2:00 pm at Moorehead cemetery in Greenwood, MS. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements,
