Asleep in Jesus blessed sleep
From whence none ever wake to weep
I have fought a good fight
I have finished my course
I have kept the faith, Hensforth
there is laid up for me a
Crown of rightiousness which
the Lord the rightious Judge
shall give me at that day.
Weep not that her toils are over
weep not that her race is run
God grant that we may rest as calmly
when our work like hers is done
Heaven retaineth now our treasure
Earth the lonly casket keeps
and the sun beams love to lingar
where our sainted mother sleeps.
