Born in Alabama, Mrs. Yates was a member of the Southside Baptist Chapel in Quincy.
Funeral services were conducted at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon, April 16 in the Southside Baptist Chapel with the Rev. David Hall officiating. Interment followed in the Hosford Cemetery with the Butler-Morgan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, A. M. Yates of Quincy; two sons, Council and Eldon Yates, both of Quincy; three daughters, Mrs. W. M. Creamer, Tallahassee, Mrs. C. L. Glover, Quincy, and Miss Jimmie Yates, Orlando; two brothers, Mose Haggins and J. H. Haggins, both of Orlando; and one sister, Mrs. Lovie Nichols, Orlando.
