Melba B. Stofflet, 87, of Ballietsville, died Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of Harold M. Stofflet. The couple celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary last August 12. Born in Allentown, on April 1, 1922, Melba was the daughter of the late Edwin and Lillie (Levan) Stettler. She was employed as a miniature assembler at the former Western Electric, in Allentown, for 25 years before retiring. She was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall. Survivors are her Husband; a daughter, two sons, a sister; five granddaughters and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road, Whitehall, with the Rev. Michael J. Bodnyk and Vicar Scott R. Lee, officiating. Family and friends may call 9:30 - 11 a.m. Thursday in the church. Interment will follow the service at Jordan Lutheran Church Cemetery, Orefield. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements.
