Feb 9, 1917 - Humboldt Republican - The death of C.P. Clark occurred at his home in west Humboldt Monday afternoon of this week, and the funeral was conducted from the Unitarian church Wednesday. We do not have the details of the life of Mr. Clark at this time, excepting as it is known to Humboldt citizens of long residence here. The publisher of this paper had known Mr. Clark nearly twenty-four years, and had always found him a man of integrity and worth. He was a person of superior intellect, and had received a liberal education which he supplemented with extensive reading and study. His mind was a veritable store house of facts and figures, yet withal he was a modest, un-assuming gentleman. .. Bravely he lived, and triumphantly he crossed the bar.

He is survived by a wife, and one son.

Feb 23, 1917 - Humboldt Republican - Memorial Address Delivered at the Unity Church at the Funeral of C.P. Clark, by the Pastor, Rev. C.C Williams. ... There is not one here this afternoon but what may find inspiration in the life of our friend Mr Clark. .. Trace his life from childhood to the last, as a boy, as a soldier, as a prisoner of war, as a teacher, as a citizen and you will find that he always revealed the sterling qualities which we expect to find in every true man.
