Mrs. Junia Ethel Clem, 80, formerly of 114 N. fifth street and more recently of the Wheat Road Good Samariton Center at Winfield, KS, died today at the Winfield Hospital.
She was born Jan 11, 1894, at Butler, MO, to William Thomas McCants and Mary Jane Kerns McCants. She moved to Kansas at the age of four and lived in the Caldwell area. She was married to C.O. Enderud on May 12, 1915, at Wellington, KS, and he died in 1969.
She was married to Lewis Clem on Aug 24, 1951, at Wichita, KS and he died in 1966. She was a retired nurse's aid from the Wesley Medical Center and St. Francis Hospital at Wichita.
She was a member of the Central Christian Church, 20th Century Sunday School Class and the Army Mothers post No. 18.
Survivors include seven sons, Louis Enderud of Rt. 3, Roy Enderud, Bill Enderud of Yelm, Wash., Clarence Enderud of Albuquerque, M.M. Jesse Enderud, Lloyd Enderud of Rt. 2, and Alfred Enderud of Albuquerque, N.M., two daughters, Mrs. Opal Sample and Mrs. Fred (Ruby) Haines of Winfield, KS, one brother, Jess McCants of Renfrow, OK., 22 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Ethel, six brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services are pending at Grant-Elder Funeral Home, and burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery at Independence, Kansas.
