Ron was born April 21, 1943, in West Milton, Ohio. He graduated in 1961 from Miami East High School. He was formerly of Troy and retired from the Navy in 1982. He volunteered for two tours in Afghanistan in 2007 and 2010 as a QA contractor. He went on to start his own QA business when he returned in 2010.
Ron is survived by his wife, Paula; two children, Rhonda Dockery of Sparr, Fla. and George Anderson of Bel Air, Md.; stepson, Jacob Culbertson and granddaughter, Alicia Dockery; two brothers, Ted and Grant Anderson of Florida; and one sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Gary Shiltz of Troy, Ohio.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mary Anderson; one brother, George; two sisters, Kappy and Esther; and a son, Philip Anderson.
There was a Celebration of Life service held for Ron at the First Baptist Church of Leesburg, Fla. on Sept. 11, 2012. Interment was at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
