Born in Galion, OH 8/15/1952 to John C. Mahaffey (11/23/1915-5/26/1979) and Thelma Ray Mahaffey (6/6/1927-6/12/2021) and stepdaughter of W. Lloyd Wroten (deceased) . Grew up in Anaheim, CA and graduated from Loara High School (Class of 1970).

Very proud mother of Edward Daniel Simpson (7/14/1989-), born in Grand Rapids, MI. Dog guardian of Shasta, a beautiful blue-eyed rescue dog.

Sister of Kathleen Mahaffey Cardinal, sister-in-law of Dr. Donald Cardinal, a proud aunt of Megan Marie Cardinal (Alex) Doty and Nicholas Alexander (Rachel) Cardinal.
