I never knew my grandmother, since I was only 3 months old at the time when she passed away. My great aunt told me about her, years later. Goldie was one of 9 children. She had left behind my grandfather Sam, (they were never married) a daughter (my mother) and 9 grandchildren. My great aunt took on the role of grandma, after Goldie passed away!
