Death of James Tevis Groves
James Tevis Groves died Tuesday morning at 6:30 o'clock at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Jesse L. Groves, Dover, Mo., after a three weeks' illness of typhoid fever.
Mr. Groves was the third son of Mr. and Mrs. Groves, and was born in Dover, March 13, 1896. He was married to Miss Mary Margaret Thompson of Breckenridge, Mo., May 2, 1920, who with an infant daughter survives him. He is also survived by his parents, and three brothers, Robert D. Groves, Kansas City; Jesse L. Groves, Atlanta, Ga., and John G. Groves, living at home.
Mr. Groves served during the war with the Motor Supply Train of the 8th Division.
The funeral services conducted by Rev. L.M. Pollock of Dover, and Reb. Robt. L. Cowan of this city, were held at the home in Dover Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Burial was made in Machpelah cemetery.
