F. C. SEMPLE, 83, DIES IN ST. LOUIS; HUNTSVILLE NATIVE
Fairman C. Semple, 83, St. Louis, formerly of Huntsville was dead upon arrival yesterday morning at the Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Mr. Semple, born and reared in Huntsville, left Huntsville several years ago and went to St. Louis where he was employed by the Curtis Candy Company. He resided at the Warwick Hotel. While in Huntsville, he operated a grocery store, Mr. Semple was a member of the Christian Church. His brother, the late Charley Semple, served for many years as city clerk in Huntsville and also operated a drug store, as did his father.
Surviving are one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Vernoy Semple, St. Louis, four grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Charley Semple, Huntsville; one nephew, Guy Smith, Wichita, Kan., and one cousin, Grover Baker, St. Louis.
The body will arrive tomorrow at the Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville. Graveside services will be held at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in Huntsville Cemetery.
