"Annie Mae Dever, of St. David, passed away on Friday, Sept. 14, following a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by many members of the family she so cherished. Born in St. David on May 25, 1926, to Alma and Ella Goodman, Annie was a descendent of Mormon pioneers who settled the San Pedro Valley. Her life was her family and her family was her life, and her greatest joy was knowing that families are forever. Her legacy lives through those she loved and served.

Annie is survived by her husband of 64 years, Kline Dever, and sons, Jim (Susan) of Tucson, Larry (Nancy) of St. David, and Danny (Cathy) of Mesa and their families, and brothers, Bert and Don Goodman of St. David and sister, Joyce Reed of Mesa, 15 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 22, at 9 a.m. at the St. David L.D.S. Church. Memorial services will follow at 10 a.m. Internment will be at the St. David Cemetery."

Annie and Kline's son, Sheriff Larry A. Dever, died just four days later on Sep 18, 2012 while on the way to join his son for a hunting trip in a Coconino county, Arizona forest camp.
