Larry DeJulio, 65, passed away on April 12, 2012, at his Montrose home.

Larry Ray DeJulio was born on October 6, 1946, in Montrose, Colo., to parents Felix and Angelina (Dicamillo) DeJulio. He spent his childhood on the family ranch and graduated from Montrose High School. Following completion of his education, Larry joined the United States Army and served his country for two years.

Larry worked as a rancher, restaurant owner, mortgage service provider and in property management. He enjoyed ranching, tending to livestock, gardening, ceramics and cooking. He will be remembered for his generosity towards people, caring and giving shelter to low income folks.

Larry is survived by his brother, Harry DeJulio, of Montrose, Colo.; sisters, Wilma Thomas and husband, Bill, of Mesquite, Nev., Ilene Minnick and husband, Bruce, of Vadesta, Ga., and Judy Espinoza of Craig, Colo., along with many close friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, April 27, 2012, at 2 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Grand View Cemetery with military honors
