Luther James Funston was born April 11, 1880 in Lee's Summit, Missouri, and passed away Sunday, December 17, 1967, at the age of 87 years, 8 months and a few days, in the Medford, Oregon Hospital.
He was the son of the late James D. and Martha Funston, early settlers of Rankin, where they had homesteaded. After leaving Reydon they moved to Texas, where they were Telephone Operators for years. He has spent the last 5 1/2 years in Southern Oregon.
He is survived by two sons, James F. Funston, Medford, Oregon and Wayne Martin Funston.
