Leona Steinke, 91, of Ripon, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.

Leona was born on November 23, 1916 in Oakfield, WI the daughter of Albert and Ida (Roehl) Prellwitz Sr. Leona attended school in Ripon and on July 7, 1937, she married Arthur Steinke. She lived most of her life in the Ripon and Green Lake area. Leona worked for Rowley Tool & Die in Green Lake as a press operator. She was a member of Our Saviour's United Church of Christ in Ripon.

Survivors include her sister, Gertrude (Harold) Krause of Ripon; and one brother, Lawrence (Irene) Prellwitz of Ripon, nieces and nephews. Leona was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur in 1982; and three brothers, Albert Jr. Paul, and Glen Prellwitz.
