Mrs. Ellie Hunt Dies; Funeral to Be Held Thursday
Mrs. Ellie Hunt, 83, who had lived at the Patrick Nursing Home for the past 5 years, died there at 5:30 p.m. yesterday. She had been ill several months.
Mrs. Hunt had lived in Moberly 18 years. Born Aug. 29, 1882, in Randolph County, she was a daughter of the late James H. and Sarah Brockman Lynn. She was a member of the Mt. Salem Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, Roy F. Hunt, Moberly; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Barron, Moberly; one half-sister, Mrs. Mollie Swetnam, New Orleans, La.; one half-brother, the Rev. L. H. Lynn, Lebanon; 17 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her husband, Frances Marion Hunt, died in 1957.
The body is at the Million and Greer Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held there at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. William Stone, Baptist minister of Atlanta, in charge. Burial will be in the Huntsville Cemetery.
