Born September 5, 1908 to James Warren Beers and Emma Zina Freestone. Married Orpha Clark on April 25, 1934, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Member of the LDS Church. Chick loved golfing, bowling, and fishing. He loved BYU sports. He was the first Police Chief in West Jordan. He was a beekeeper, mink rancher and grocer. Chick was very proud of his family. He enjoyed their visits.
Survived by wife, Orpha; son, Gary; grandchildren, Kent, Bob, Jeninne, Brian, Jaimee; special daughter-in-law, Evelyn; brother, Ken; sister, June; eight great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by two sons, Kent C. and Craig L.
Funeral service Friday, June 5, 1998, at 11 a.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, where friends may call one hour prior to service. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens
