Isaac Spoor (Dutch Ysaak Spoor) was born or christened on September 30, 1711 in Kingston, Ulster County, New York, a son of Johannes John and Maria (Sinkaar) Spoor, he married Claertje or Claritje Brasie (Klaartjen Brudu) in 1742 in Kingston, Ulster County, New York; he died after 1801, probably in Egremont, Berkshire County, Massachusetts.
Written documentation indicates he was ancestor of the Egremont, Massachusetts branch of the family. Early records of this branch of the family are more scattered than those of any of the sons of Johannes Spoor. The burning of the town records of Egremont, Massachusetts in 1850 doubtless destroyed much information regarding the early members of this branch of the family.
