BUDA ~ Mrs. Wayland (Violet M.) Arnold, 59, a registered nurse living at Buda, died Saturday, Jan 22, in her home. She was born Oct. 6, 1923 on rural Tiskilwa, the daughter of George H. and Grace Preston Roberts. She was educated in the Buda schools. Her marriage to Wayland Arnold took place Nov. 22, 1946 in Maywood. He survives with two sons, Gerald, Downers Grove, and Gaile, Buda, a daughter Mrs. Earl (Mary) Sanders, Rock Island… Mrs. Arnold had received an American Red Cross nursing badge for instructing in the Bureau County Red Cross Chapter. She was a member… American Legion Auxiliary Unit 261, Rebekah Lodge, all of Buda, and was a past director of 16th District, Rebekah Lodge of Illinois… Interment will be in Hopeland Cemetery… Memorials may be directed to her church or the Buda Rescue Unit.”
