September 20, 1879 - Andrew J. Brookover died at his home near Aberdeen, Ohio, September 13, 1879, aged 60 years. He had been sick for two months, but hopes were entertained of his recovery until a short time before his death. Mr. Brookover was married to Nancy A. Chunn on December 23, 1814, who, with seven children, survives him. He was a loving husband and a kind father and a consistent member of the Christian Church. During his sickness, he exhibited a Christian spirit, leaving evidence behind that he has gone from labor to reward. Mr. Brookover, by industry and economy, had become one of the largest landowners in the county, besides a large personal estate. He was always willing to help others who were striving to succeed, and his memory will long be cherished by many others than relatives and children.
