He served in WWII in the Army Air Corps 574th Aircraft Warning Bn. Company B. He joined Carpenters Local # 142 on May 1, 1949. Harolds career in the Carpenters Union spanned over 57 years. Harold held the positions of recording secretary, Executive Board of the Council, Secretary Treasurer of the Pennsylvania State Council and served as Trustee on the pension fund. He retired as Assistant Executive Business Manager. Also, was past President of Montour Heights Country Club.
Harold is survived by his wife, June (Vale) Blumling, children; Betty Sebak (Michael), Cary Blumling (Tammy), Tom Blumling (Terri), Cindy Gilberti (Louis); grandchildren: Alyssa, Amanda, Amber, Ashleigh, Benjamin, Kalyn, Mark, Peter, Ryan & Stacey; great granddaughter, Mia. He is also survived by his sister, Dolores McGuire, and brothers, Elmer, Frank, Robert, Louis, and William Blumling.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Ellen Blumling; a son Paul John Blumling; sisters, Ellen Stangl and Ann Callaghan and a brother George Yex.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 PM in the HUNTSMAN MOON TWP. FUNERAL HOME (corner of Beaver Grade & Coraopolis Hts. Rd.) A memorial service will be held on Wednesday in the St. Phillips Episcopal Church, Moon Twp. At 10:00 AM.
Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Moon Twp.
