Elizabeth "Betty" Augerot, 89, recently of Stamford, NY, former resident of Bradenton, FL, for 30 years and of Niagara Falls, NY, for 59 years, died on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in A.O. Fox Hospital, Oneonta, NY. She was born Elizabeth Grace Neville on August 23, 1922 in Niagara Falls, NY, to the late Omar and Grace (Kew) Neville.

As a girl, Elizabeth studied piano, art, and dancing. After graduating from Niagara Falls High School in 1940, she worked as a window trimmer, dental assistant/office manager, and, during WWII, a draftsman at Hooker Chemical Company. She and Charles William Augerot married on October 6, 1945. Betty was a dedicated volunteer in Girl Scouts for 20 years, and an active member of St. James Methodist Church and Mothers' Club in Niagara Falls. She and her husband started wintering in Florida in 1978. While there, Betty taught exercise and crafts, worked as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, and was an active member of her church.

Betty was predeceased by her husband and her sisters, Margaret Sand and Marilyn Rolls. She is survived by her daughters, Lynn (Jerry) Lackovic and Shirley Augerot; her grandchildren, Katherine (Nick) Lombardo, Charles (Erica) Lackovic; her great-grandchildren, Finley and Miles Lombardo and Rylie Lackovic; her sisters, Jane (Richard) Prendergast and Barbara (Robert) Malatesta; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
