Ira Neal Lyons, 79, of Nampa, died Tuesday, May 16, 1995, at his home. Mr. Lyons was born April 1, 1916, at Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a son of Ira Monroe and Martha Gibbs Lyons. He was reared and educated in Omaha, Nebraska. Ira married Mary Alice Baade on July 4, 1941. Ira went to work for the Miller Cereal Company. In 1943 he joined the U.S. Army and served in the European Theater during WW II. After his honorable discharge he returned to Omaha where he returned to work for the Miller Cereal Co., which later became Kellogg Cereal Company. Ira worked for the company for 23 years. In January of 1957 the couple moved to Boise where they lived for six years. The couple moved to Nampa where Ira worked for Triangle Dairy and where they have since resided. Ira enjoyed fishing, golfing, and especially enjoyed watching cartoons with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall, Nampa.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice of Nampa; two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald Neal and Susan Lyons of Nampa and Robert Dee and Teresa Lyons of Carrollton, Georgia; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen Kay and Dennis L. O'Brien of Middleton; two brothers, Keith and his wife Bertha Lyons and Wayne Lyons all of Omaha, Nebraska; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.
