Mrs. Ethel Squires Coffey, daughter of the late Mr. Luther Squires and Mrs. Sally Squires, was born 30 Mar 1899 in Green Co., and departed this life at 9 pm Wed. 26 Nov at the Medco Nursing Home in Campbellsville. She was 87 years, 7 months and 27 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Summershade Methodist Church at the time of her death. She united in marriage to Mr. Sam Coffey, who preceded her in death. She is survived by 1 step-son, Mr. joe P. Coffey of Louisville; 1 step-daughter, Mrs. Mary Lizzie Powell of Louisville. She is also survived by 1 half-brother, mr. Ewell Dehoney of Greensburg; 1 half-sister, Mrs. Verna Thomas of Louisville; 1 niece, Mrs. Corrine Loy; 2 nephews, Mr. Will Ed Shuffett and Mr. James Robert Shuffett, oth of Greensburg, along with a host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 1 pm Fri 28 Nov with burial in the Summershade Cem. Rev. Ralph Lee officiated. Pallbearers were Shelby Patterson, David Cundiff, L.C. Reliford, Thurman Hancock, Joe Shuffett and Eunie Burris.
