Joseph (Giuseppe) was born in Bitrillo, Italy. He married Rosa Rosato on Oct. 20, 1920 In Losetta, Italy. Their first 2 children, Francesca (Frances) and Michele(Mike) were born there. He left Italy from Naples on the Duilio and arrived in New York on Jul 25, 1925. He came to Washington and worked for the railroad. He filed for citizenship in Seattle in 1931. Rosa and the children joined him in 1935. They had 2 more sons, Joseph, Jr. and John.
