Betty J. Earnest, 73, died Tuesday, November 9, in Sparks.

She was born June 1, 1931, in Oklahoma City to Charles E. and Myrtle Marie {Richards} Lackey.

On July 20, 1989, she married Ralph C. Earnest in Denton County, Texas.

Betty was a homemaker and a member of the Church of the First Born. She was baptized at the General Assembly in Dallas in 1952.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Linda Bennett.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph C. Earnest, of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, James E. and Deb Blevins of Howe, Texas, and Russell O. and Debbie Earnest of Laveen, Arizona; daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Richard Carr of Bells, Texas; brothers and sister-in-law, Frankie Lackey of Texas and Rudy and Nancy Lackey of Fort Worth, Texas; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Arnold Herman officiating.

Burial will follow at Parkland Cemetery in Parkland.
