Mary Anna Sawyer was the daughter of Dr. Micajah Sawyer and Sybil (Farnham) Sawyer of Newburyport, Massachusetts. She was the second wife of Philip Jeremiah Schuyler to whom she was married in 1807; she was the mother of William Schuyler, Sybil Schuyler & George Lee Schuyler.

$500 to Catherine V. R. widow of James Cochran, sister of my husband.
$500 to Rosanna Schuyler of Stillwater, widow of Philip P. Schuyler, deceased, eldest son of my husband.
$2500 to Mary Ann Schuyler Jones, eldest daughter of Samuel Jones and Catherine Schuyler, deceased, the only daughter of my husband.
$2500 to Catherine Schuyler Jones, youngest daughter of said Samuel Jones and Catherine Schuyler.
--Mentions two married daughters of Samuel Jones and Catherine Schuyler, Cornelia & Sarah.
