Fred D. Aldrich 56, chief supervisor at the Northampton State Hospital 30 years, died this afternoon at 12.30 at the home of his sister-in-law, Mrs. John J. Croake, 20 Payson avenue, Easthampton. He was born at South Londonderry, Vt., the son of David and Esther (Barnum) Aldrich. In former years, Mr Aldrich served occasionally as special police officer for the city. He leaves two daughters, Mrs William Rooney of Westfield and Miss Anna Aldrich of this city, and a sister, Mrs Noble Rawson of South Londonderry. The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 9 at Blessed Sacrament church here and burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
