David John Bohe, 49, Minot and formerly of Mandan, died on Monday, August 11, 2008, in a Decatur, Texas hospital.

David was born on November 14, 1958 in Sioux Falls, SD to Charles and Cecilia (Kopp) Bohe. He was raised in Mandan, ND. As a young adult he began employment in the oil fields of ND which brought him to Minot. It was here he met Sharilyn and ultimately created a loving family life and home. David was united in marriage to Sharilyn Schlak, on August 20, 1983.

While Minot was David's home, his work in the oil field often took him to other places around the country. He established his own seismic drilling company which he proudly owned and operated. Dave was a hardworking, dedicated and loyal both in his personal and professional life. He was always willing to help others regardless of his own needs. He took great pride in doing the best job possible, and this was reflected in his work.

David loved spending time with his family and pets. He enjoyed traveling to visit family members, and always ensured family was his top priority.

Surviving family includes his wife: Sharilyn, Minot; Children: Nicole (David Sommers), Albuquerque, NM; Heather Bohe, Minot; Siblings: Charles (Connie) Bohe, Honolulu, Hawaii, Dan "Dino" Bohe, Mandan, Tom Bohe, Mandan, Charlotte Bohe, Bakersfield, CA, Jodel Bohe, Mandan, Katrina (Chad) Froemming, Mandan; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law: Erling O. and Judith Schlak; Sister and Brother-in-law: Valerie (Robert) Babb, and their children Elisabeth and Jacob Babb; Sister-in-law: Suzanne K. Schlak; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

David was preceded in death by his parents and step-father.

Public Visitation and Viewing: Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home – Minot.

Funeral Service: PRIVATE. Please contact a member of the family for permission to attend.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park – Minot.
Public Reception: Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Judith Schlak residence (1510 4th Ave. S.W.)
Memorials: Memorials to the family are preferred in lieu of plants and flowers.
