31 AUG 2022 SAC with additional information regarding surname and death details.*~*"I have Bullington relatives and do find the most common spelling is with two "L's". I am related to Bullington's in and around the Oklahoma City area, Indiana and Illinois, but have not done enough research to identify how I might be related to this Benjamin. He was however, born in Indiana and my known gg grandfather Bullington was also born in Indiana. Doesn't necessarily mean they are related, but there may be a connection.

The obituary (27 March 1930) for Benjamin Franklin Bullington shows b. 16 Nov 1848 in Fountain County, Indiana near Covington (it actually shows born near Covington, Indiana, but Covington is in Fountain County); d. 23 Mar 1930 at Edmond, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma. It also mentions his children including a Miss May Bullington of Edmond, and John W. Bullington who predeceased him by 3 years.

Death notice for John Bullington age 46 of Oklahoma City dated 9 Sept 1927 says he died from injuries of an auto accident. (spelled in this article with 2 "L"s.)

These notices as well as a 50th Anniversary article for Benjamin and Isabella show the name as Bullington. The Illinois Marriage record shows the name spelled with two "L"s. Census records spell the name a number of different ways, but we know as researchers, that census takers often had poor handwriting and poor spelling."
