Mrs. Mildred Delaney-McCammon

Mrs. Mildred Delaney-McCammon nee Mildred Iva Whitlock, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Whitlock, was born March 13, 1903, at Ong, Nebraska, and passed away August 14, 1947, at the University hospital (sic) at Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 44 years, five months and one day.

She was reared in the village of Ong and at an early age united with the Presbyterian church.

She married Mr. McCammon December 17, 1942, at Kearney, Nebraska. Mr. McCammon passed away June 15, 1946.

For the past year Mrs. McCammon made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Weddingfeld at Norfolk, Nebraska, and was employed as a nurse at the Lutheran hospital. She became ill April, 1947, and had been bedfast since then.

She leaves to mourn: two daughters by a previous marriage, Mrs. Eileen Weddingfeld of Norfolk and Mrs. Margaret Harms of Fairfield; three granddaughters, Josette Eileen and Theora Irene Weddingfeld of Norfolk and Teresa Ann Harms of Fairfield, Nebraska; six sisters, Mrs. Eula Smock of Edgar, Nebraska; Mrs. Clarice Powell of Omaha, Nebraska; Mrs. Blanch Wyckoff of Des Moines, Iowa; Mrs. Mabel Sugden of Los Angeles, California; Mrs. Edith Balduff of Cedar Rapidis (sic), Iowa and Mrs. Elsie Rhodus of Winnebago, Nebraska; one brother, Birl Whitlock of Harvard, Nebraska; five nieces, four nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at St. John Lutheran church (sic), Norfolk, Nebraska, Saturday, August 16, 1947, at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. M. E. Jensen in charge.

Two hymns were sung by Thomas Hughes of Norfolk, "Some Time We'll Understand" and "I Know That My Redeemer Liveth."

Pallbearers were: L. C. Arnold, Wayne Cook and Herman Hass of Norfolk, Dale Weddingfeld of Pender, Bernie Bowers of Winside and Victor Lase of West Point.

Burial was in Norfolk, Nebraska.
