Orville F. Wilson, 68, retired carpenter and construction foreman, died Tuesday morning in a Grand Island hospital. He suffered a circulatory attack Monday and had been in the hospital from that time. Mr. Wilson lived with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Gosda, 2641 O'Flannagan. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel of the Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. John Shell will officiate. Burial will be in Grand Island Cemetery...

Mr. Wilson was born Aug. 14, 1900, at Loup City to Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wilson. He and Miss Effie Cunningham were married in August of 1919 at Loup City. In 1929, they moved to Dannebrog and farmed there before moving to Grand island. Mrs. Wilson died Oct. 4, 1922. Mr. Wilson was employed by Massey-Harris, by Fairmont Foods and A. E. Hoops. In the early 1940's, he became an apprentice carpenter. He later became a foreman in home and building construction in Grand Island. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He was affiliated with the Carpenters' Union, 1147; Aerie 378 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Liederkranz Society.

He and Etta Claussen were married Dec. 10, 1938 in Grand island. She died May 6, 1966. Mr. Wilson is survived by his daughter Mrs. Gosda; three sons, Edwin of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Lawrence of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Delbert of Grand Island; four step-children, Mrs. Leona Burges of Kearny, Ariz., Mrs. Keo Bobo of Denver, and Mrs. Frank Laird and Mrs. Clifford Starkey, both of Grand Island; one brother, Robert Wilson of Santa Cruz, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Leona Schnelle of Guthrie, Okla., Mrs. Pearl Schnuelle of Denver and Emma Wilson of Hot Springs, Ark.; his step-mother, Mrs. Maude Wilson of Elm Creek; 19 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Clyde Wilson; a daughter, Anna Wilson; two brothers, Roy and Willard Wilson, and a sister, Mrs. Marie Graham.
