BOOTH-Ms. Emma Holmes Booth, age 85, of Graniteville, S.C., wife of the late Clarence Booth and daughter of the late James L. Holmes and the late Emmie Bush Holmes, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 12, 2012. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law: Bradley and Linda Holmes of Aiken, S.C., Vernon and Brenda Holmes of Vaucluse, S.C., Ernest and Evelyn Holmes of Plant City, Florida; sisters, Carolyn Doolittle and Sarah Wates both of Edgefield, S.C., Ethel Mears of Evans, Ga.; a brother, Floyd Holmes of Edgefield, S.C.; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Allen Holmes; sisters, Lucy Robertson, Leona McDaniel, Leila Bodie and Christine Wates; brothers, J. W. Holmes and Thomas Holmes. She was born in Edgefield County, S.C. but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a member of Gloverville First Baptist Church and a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She shall be greatly missed by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched during the 85 precious years that God granted her on this earth; however, life for her has not ended as God has promised eternal life for those who believe on Him. She shall live on forever in the hearts of her love ones. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Thursday evening, September 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 14th at 3:00 PM at the Graniteville Cemetery with the Rev. Gene Wilson officiating. Family and friends asked to meet at the graveside by 2:45 PM.
